Mostly, and especially in our Bluetooth Speakers Under $50 category, the smaller the speaker the more leak you’ll have at higher volumes. That is, the more you push that “+” button, the lest sound quality you’re going to have. The Anker SoundCore has changed my assumption that all small speakers are short on power. It’s a powerful speaker in a tight, little package. The Anker has everything that we value in a Bluetooth Speaker for Under 50 bucks. We were pleasantly surprised and we think you will be, too.
While the manufacturers claim that range on the Anker is 66 feet, that is most likely a bit of an exaggeration. We did reach clipping and “skips” at around the 43 to 44 feet mark on the beach and we had issues through walls in the house. That being said, we’d rarely use our speakers in that way anyway, usually opting for a nearby spot to drop the phone when streaming.
Two 3w speakers and 4 ohms with a pretty sweet spiral bass port. It throws great bass for a speaker that size but you can’t expect too much from a small speaker. The Anker SoundCore offers plenty of boom boom pow!
The 24 hour battery is just what we were looking for. (Anyone else a forget to charge kind of guy or gal?) It charges slow but that’s not an issue…as long as you remember. And the play time you have to party and listen with is very worth it.
Big ol’ rubberized buttons for play, pause, skip and volume up/down are easy handle and push. They’re big enough to recognize by feel in the dark.
